Worthing labour into the final
Their manager Eric Reekie said afterwards that he was pleased with the result but had expected a bigger winning margin. He commented: "I'm delighted that we've reached the final and that's what matters as semi-finals are never easy to win. We were such strong favourites and Crowborough might well have been fired up by this, and the fact that they were the underdogs with nothing to lose.
"Our wins in the singles were all comfortable and we were given a massive lift by Arwel Roberts and Scott Nightingale who had very big victories."

Hide AdCoincidentally, the foursomes in both semi-final ties were halved. But thanks to Nigel Harrington and Jack Bartlett winning 6&5 '” the best of the morning '”Worthing were the better placed in the event of a countback.
