Scott victorious in Planetbowls event
A field of 72 players from across England and Wales took part in the three-day event and there was a enthralling finish in the semi-finals and final on Monday afternoon.
Edwards won his semi-final on a tie break against Jon Wilson, 3-8, 7-2, 2-0, while Adrian Kemish defeated David Dar by one set, 8-8, 8-3, in his last four match.

Hide AdIn the final, Edwards beat Kemish 9-1, 7-1 to win the £1,250 prize money, while Kemish took the runners-up prize of £500.
There was a bounty of £50 – sponsored by Ian Hart – for whoever beat the champion from the previous Planetbowls event. However, as Edwards won, the bounty now rolls over to the next tournament at Essex County Bowls Club later this month.
David Pitt was victorious in the Plate final as he beat Neil Smith on the last end of the tie break, 3-8, 5-3, 2-1, to win the £400 prize money.
The £50 prize for the last member of Worthing Pavilion to remain in the competition was won by Neil Kerkhove, who lost in the quarter-finals to Dar.
