A HOSPITAL housekeeper, falsely accused of stealing headache tablets worth just £3, was held in-store by a shop’s management for 90 minutes.

Tip Gillespie, 29, of Southdownview Road was left in tears and her partner ‘outraged’ by the way she was treated by staff in the budget store Savers, in Montague Street, Worthing, last Tuesday.

Tip had been shopping for cleaning products when she was stopped by a male member of staff as she left the shop.

Three empty boxes of Nurofen were found in a basket which she had briefly handled before she swapped it for a different one.
