A DOGWALKER was lucky to escape unscathed after a van smashed into a tree he was stood behind.

Martin Gossage, 70, of Offington Avenue, Worthing, was returning from Broadwater Green with his miniature schnauzer, Bertie, at 10.40am, last Wednesday, when a ‘fully loaded’ van came crashing towards him.
