Sussex Decides: Winner of Hastings and Rye constituency announced
The winner of the Hastings and Rye seat has just been announced as Conservative candidate Amber Rudd.
She won with 22,686 votes.
Sarah Owen, Labour’s candidate, was runner-up with 17,890 votes.
UKIP candidate, Michael Andrew, came in third place with 6,786 votes.
The result was announced just before 4am.
Turnout was 68%.
