It was organised by the school’s higher sports leaders and staff were again surprised and delighted by the commitment and enthusiasm shown by all students.
The five-mile course saw students and staff run from the school field to the top of Highdown Hill and back.

Connor is keen to keep as active as possible and the money will be used to help him do so through the Keep Conor Active appeal.
Connor, a member of the East Preston U15 football team, had his lower right leg amputated in January to remove the bone affected by osteo saroma. The appeal is to provide him with a state-of-the-art prosthetic leg and anything else he needs to keep him active.
There was also a small contribution made to the Lavinia Norfolk Centre (LNC) Trust, which is based at the school and provides specialist support to students with special educational needs.
Ed Whiffin, subject leader for PE and sport, said: “It was an outstanding and record-breaking turnout from students for this year’s fun run, with over 500 students taking part.

“With Connor being in year ten, it was fitting that their head of year, Mr Lury, joined the students in running and raised over £100 towards the charity. Some students were dressed in fancy dress, which was fantastic to see.
“The year tens were invited to run as Connor is close to their hearts and they showed this by raising an amazing £2,523.90 as a year group.
“Year seven raised £1,854.37, year eight raised £1,774.89 and year nine raised £1,226.45, totalling a sum of £7,523.90, which is a mind-blowing achievement and is sentiment to the values and commitments of this fantastic school.”
