Chichester day centre building to be sold
Services at The Wrenford Centre, on the north side of Terminus Road, are being relocated to Chestnuts in Bognor Regis and the Judith Adams Centre in Chichester as part of changes to the council’s in-house social care provision.
The property was handed back to the corporate landlord and formally declared surplus to the county councils operational requirements in August 2020.

The cabinet member for finance has agreed to dispose of the freehold estate and delegated officers to conclude the terms of the sale with the highest and preferred bidder.
According to an officers’ report: “The property is surplus to requirements and is in need of considerable repair and improvement. It is not deemed suitable for continued operational use by adult services, another service in WSCC or another service connected to WSCC.
“A full options appraisal was undertaken in January 2020.
“Letting the property to a third party was also dismissed given the state and condition of the building.”
