Bestens has been unable to open its ‘Tap Room’ bar in Lower Beeding or its pop-up bar in The Orchards in Haywards Heath during lockdown and has instead focused on home delivery via its website.
Bestens founder Paul Swaffield said: “The expansion of the brewery will make a big difference to our ability to meet the growing demand for our beer.
“Our latest beer, Fast Hands, sold out on the website in less than 24 hours.

I’d like to thank everyone that has been ordering through our website or buying from one of the amazing independent outlets that stock our beers. Their support for small local breweries and retailers is really important.”
Meanwhile Bestens has announced a new charity partner - Survivors of Suicide Brighton, part of the charitable group Rethink Mental Illness - for 2020. A percentage of the profits from every beer sold goes into the Bestens Brewery Community Fund.
