LETTER: Charter refusal is puzzling

It’s good to hear councillor Kate Rowbottom declare that her commitment and her loyalty is to her constituents (WSCT ‘Letters’ 12 March).

But I find it puzzling that she cites this as a reason for refusing to sign the WSCT Free Speech Charter. The Charter states ‘I will always put first the people I am elected to serve.’

I thought that’s what she said she wanted? I’m confused.
