Specialist officers have raided an address in Eastbourne this morning (Thursday) in the hunt for a man who police describe as wanted and dangerous.

Twenty officers – including those from the newly formed Tactical Enforcement Unit – raided an end of terrace house in Downland Close off Friday Street shortly after 6am.

The officers were looking for a man wanted in connection with a stabbing in Sorrel Drive in the summer of 2018 and failing to attend court in February last year.

A man was arrested in the loft of the property and is currently in police custody.
