Armed police arrest fugitive who absconded from Ford Prison

Armed police have arrested a fugitive who absconded from Ford Prison earlier this month.

Jay Davis was arrested yesterday afternoon (October 24) at a campsite at Telscombe, police said.

David, who is serving a sentence for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, was reported missing from the prison on Monday, October 12.

Armed police, supported by a National Police Air Service helicopter, arrested him on suspicion of being unlawfully at large at 3.30pm.
