Bexhill Utd needs young players

BEXHILL United has been celebrating success and promotion at the end of an amazing season but now it is the turn of the young ones.

The football club is looking for new players of all ages and levels of talent but particularly for the new Under-7 and Under 9 boys' teams.

There is also room for younger ones to join the Munchkins group which is proving extremely popular and aimed at boys and girls up to and including six years of age.

Training takes place on Saturday mornings at the Polegrove and is run by highly qualified SAFA accredited coach, Lyntton Peppiatt.

Bexhill United Youth FC committee member Chris Lappin said: "It has been absolutely incredible, what has happened with Bexhill United. That is why we thought it would be a good time to promote the youth side, on the back of that success.

"There were hardly enough players for the senior team a year ago, and now they have won two cups. We are just totally elated - it is a massive achievement.

"There is a youth side to the club which started just over a year ago, in January 2007, but now we need more players because there are more teams coming through."
