Police have closed the westbound carriageway of the A27 at Hangleton, after a caravan overturned this morning.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 9.30am on Tuesday (June 13), police received a report of a car towing a caravan which overturned on the A27 at Hangleton.

"Police and firefighters are at the scene, and the westbound carriageway remains closed between Dyke Road and the Hangleton interchange while the vehicle awaits recovery. "Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.

"No injuries have been reported."
