2022 sees the return of the Celebrate Cuckmere Haven Art Exhibition at the South Hill Barn.

It runs from September 3-18.

A spokesman said: “For a tiny bay on the Sussex coastline, Cuckmere Haven enjoys something of global superstar status. The exhibition is to be held in the beautifully iconic South Hill Barn on Seaford Head, transforming the location for two weeks of creative inspiration and education.

“Every year hundreds of thousands of people from across the globe visit Cuckmere Haven to see for themselves the white cliffs and picturesque coastguard cottages they recognise from TV, cinema screens and social media pages.

“This exhibition is in support of Cuckmere Haven SOS who are campaigning to preserve this incredible landscape and its heritage.

“The landscape and history of the Cuckmere valley have long inspired artists and visitors alike. In these difficult times, most of us have come to appreciate the benefits of wide-open spaces, art and heritage on our mental and physical health. This exhibition aims to draw all these things together and be a true celebration of art, landscape and community.

“We are proud to once again be a part of the Artwave Festival.

“More than 70 artists exhibiting over 90 works make it Art Wave Festival's largest and most diverse venue. Visitors will enjoy the display of paintings, prints, sculptures, textiles, ceramics and jewellery all in the South Hill Barn with its stunning backdrop of the Seven Sisters.

“Along with the exhibition will be daily demonstrations by participating artists explaining differing artistic styles and techniques. Fascinating evening events will include talks and music.”

Open Wednesdays to Sundays 11am to 5pm September 3-18, exhibition free, South Hill Barn, Seaford, BN25 4JQ. www.celebratecuckmerehaven.co.uk for more information and bookings. Coffees, teas and lunches by Brewsters Coffee. Dogs welcome
